Hulk Ragnarok

Hulk Smaller
I really don’t know why this is so green. The other social media posts plus on my computer software it’s nowhere near as obnoxious as this. Don’t know what to do.

I don’t even know how to categorise this one. It’s not exactly realism is it. Lol. Just chuck it into Cartoon and Sketches.

Been a while since my last post. But I have good news and bad news. I’m not job searching again so more time to work on my art (that’s both the good and the bad news) … I also applied for a tattoo apprenticeship (3 actually, one I still haven’t heard from, the other said they would if I didn’t live so far away (3 hour train trip and I would’ve relocated) and the 3rd wants me to trial with them for a week after new years (which ironically is a 5 hour car trip … so that makes me grumpy at no.2)

So this here is a commission for a friend of a friend who is pretty much family. Big hulk fan. I didn’t want to do it originally because Hulk might be a great character, but he is rather bring to draw. Plus it’s really difficult to draw anger/rage … it’s a moving emotion. One that requires a time frame to express. It’s incredibly difficult to capture in a still image. Drawing a screamy face just doesn’t cut it.

So here are some progress pictures.

I must’ve deleted the very first ones. I changed a few things, in the beginning he looked far more orcish than hulkish. His jaw was protruding outwards a lot. A couple of other things too. Was a bit of a pain in the butt too correct too. Had trouble with the general frame of his body. The angles were all wrong and the size was a little weird. Still wasn’t 100% happy by this stage, but was infinity better. I really wish I still had those pictures still.
