I think it’s time to face it … my obsession has left all previous obsessions in the dust. I really hope it doesn’t fade because I’ll be left with 10 million drawings and no idea what to do with them.

Progress pictures:
1.) Basic shaping and beginning of the shading. A little experimenting before settling into a style. Not very noticeable. The eye shading is a little different. More havy handed on the ink, less graphite merging.
2.) really getting into it. Normally I do a little section at a time, but sometimes I feel that progress looks more active if I pop out the main (and easy areas). Helps define areas. And gives over all perspective. It’s probably a wiser approach too, as when you go for the small details in one small area sometimes you get caught out by size/proportions (even when you make outline guides!)

And finally an obligatory side-by-side pose. Because, let’s face it. I wish I was Tom. (Sorry about quality of the photo, dodgy phone coupled with trying to take a selfie while not looking at the screen. It’s hard)
