I have been working hard this past year on my other pet project. the Book of Ominiue Series. It is a speculative fiction (Sci-fi and fantasy) story that I started way back in 2000. It is highly Dune + Dragonriders of Pern inspired (as well as some LotRs, Narnia and Iain M Banks, Culture)
I have been writing the second book as well as cleaning up the first book for a relaunch.
There is a whole lotta world building involved. A lot … I mean … lot lot.
And this is some of that world building MAPS! Old viewers of mine might recognise them as I’ve drawn this map multiple times over the years. But here is the finished product for the books and public consumption.
It is supposed to be Dífrun, a subcontinent area where the story begins. But I’ve cut off most of the western half (that’s ok, it’s mostly desert area occupied by nomadic tribes, 99% of everything occurs in the maps above (actually most of it occurs in the just 10% of this map xD … over enthusiastic youth world building I call it.
Anyways. If you are interested in supporting this endeavour I do have a patreon account dedicated to side of things. I was hoping to do some cons this year. But editing is a painful and slow endeavour (Especially when you’re a little dyslexic like me)
I’m currently editing more than anything else. But once I go full beta reader stage I will be dedicating time to making books covers, cleaning up a dodgy trailer I’ve done some work on, more poster work etc, and other Ominiue related art (That’s the plan)
