G’day everyone.
Those who follow my page might have noticed it’s had a bit of a makeover.
There is a couple of reasons for this.
I have a couple of other barely touched sites for my music and I’ve also written a book (the book of Ominiue [2016]) which only had a presence on on Facebook, so I decided to bring all my creative pursuits into one website. I also make enough money now from my art to pay for a premium package and domain, so thought it efficient to create a unified and all encompassing website. It’s still bare in places and might be for some time, but the foundation is there.
Anyway, thank you to the people who supported me over the years. I have been thinking of restarting my Patreon, but I don’t think I work consistently enough to make that viable. Perhaps down the track.
I am also working on a second website for my book (as well as the second book). A sort of wiki page as it were. Though it has yet to be published (and will be a long way down the track) but when it does I’ll also add that for anyone interested.
Now to the Art:
I have been focusing a lot on writing my second book lately, but part of writing is also not writing: I spend a lot of time contemplating things, how things look, possible events that might happen, etc. I also draw things a lot (but not as much as I used to) which really helps me with the writing side.
The following pictures are concept art I’ve made for it. One is very bad, it’s just to help me describe things. One is okish and one I liked enough to scan in and make more pretty on Clip Studio Paint. So hope you enjoy, and also give you an idea about my world building process (as well as the world my book is set in)

Dragon Warren
Dragons are an extinct species. All that remains of them now are some eggs that never hatched, their mountaintop graveyards and a few ruins protected by the natives.
Dragons were a hive species ruled by a queen dragon, known as a matriarch. Each colony consisted of between 10 to 100 dragons and they would settle on hilltops in warm areas. They would create partially underground homes, digging in rockyground and capping the top of the entrance to protect the interior. The cap is typically made from either roughly cut stone or a desert wyrm carapace (A Dune Lizard which also doubled as one of the Dragons primary sources of food) … These homes circle the hill in a protective ring or rings.
The outside of the Warren were often decorated with monoliths. Dragons were pretty big on monoliths and would erect stones for many reasons. This interests in standing stones seeped into the other species, as such middle and northern Difrun (the sub continent where they live) is littered with them.
The Dragons would dig out the very top of the hill and bring in sand from the deserts. When ready the Queen dragon would bury the eggs in the sand where they would incubate in the warmth. She would rest in the sand hilltop with the eggs until they hatch, guarding them against predators and nature.
Other humanoid species lived peacefully with dragons in later ages. The most notable are the humaoinds who were connected (bonded – yeah a Pern ripoff, what are you going to do?) also had homes built into the warrens.
Other people also lived around dragon warrens, as they kept wild predators and enemies at bay. Often farmers would settle nearby and those who grazed lifestock would also raise a side herd for the dragons, almost as tribute to farm the lands. Traders would come to the entrance of the warren to trade their wares. Higher traffic locations often had markets set up where dragonriders, farmers and other travellers exchanged goods.

the Silent City (Aranith)

The Dark Throne (Aranith)
Aranith also known as the silent city, and once as the silver city is an abandoned dwelling within the sacred forest of Endaran.
It was said to the be the first city created. Though that is contested, as it was built by the old Afradian race, who came after humans and lionman. But it is considered the first great city, and the first city built from rock and mortar.
Once the beacon of the Afradian races, it was also the place where the first afradian was slain, the high King Markees, by his jealous brother, Kahriah-Jaharah. The god Kay’ranarder cursed the lands and exiled all the peoples from it, except for the human tribe of Anisk, who guard the forest to this very day.
Most of the Afradian Houses settled other areas, most already had a presence in other locations so they were able to easily adapt. The House of Floyian though who were the major architects that built the great star-court and the black throne room were broken by their banishment. They became a nomadic people, forever travelling the deserts and plains just outside the boundary of Endaran and they were the first to come and protect it against their enemies.

PS I’d also like to add that this is now making me use the blocks layout for wordpress. A bit different. I think I’m getting he hang of it (thanks to revamping the site) … I have noticed that when I place an image (through the gallery block) into the layer-block and editing it complains, throwing out an error, but the image still posts. If anyone knows why this is please shout out.
