Drawing updates.
Some good news, I’ve been given the opportunity to give tattooing a shot. So I finally landed that kinda apprenticeship I’ve been trying to get for years now. Woot … with a little luck I start in 4 days. Fingers crossed. So been doing a lot more tattoo-y kinda stuff. Most isn’t really worth sharing but couple aren’t that bad.
Above is my first work with watercolour colour pencils (have worked a little bit with watercolour greyleads. I think the deisgn is a little disappointing. It looked better in my head. But the sword isn’t to size and I think it might be better if the head was shrunk a lot more. Maybe … Also had ideas for a dragon head or something. But I’ve never drawn a Hannya/Oni Mask and so I enjoyed this.
I think drawing different cultural swords is possibly a cool concept too. I do like drawing them.
And another practice dragon … slowly getting better with them. Graphite and pastel pencil.
And of course the first picture I posted was an old drawing from my ‘unfinished’ pile that I was finally motivated to complete.
A couple angled/progressed pics that I thought looked pretty nifty.
